Chemical peels

Strictly speaking, these are medical grade chemical peels, but unlike what you may have seen on tv, these treatments give you great results without having to hide in recovery or undergo the risk and trauma of a surgical procedure. Being medical grade means that these treatments are much stronger than cosmetic and beauty treatments, giving deeper results capable of treating even particularly troublesome skin conditions.

Do not confuse them with peel treatments available in beauty salons – these treatments are medical grade. Our skin specialist practitioner formerly trained the UK’s leading cosmetic doctors to use these chemical peels so you can be sure of receiving expert care and advice.

Types of chemical skin peels available

At Complete Rejuvenation's Essex based clinics we offer 4 types of treatment so you can be sure of finding the peel that’s right for you. Our treatments are available in a range of 3 strengths and are designed to treat a range of specific skin conditions. Easy Phytic (The Red Carpet Facial) Treatment
 
The mildest treatment, this treats the skin at a superficial level without any visible flaking.  Recommended for the early signs of photo ageing, smokers skins, very fine lines and acne. A one off treatment gives the skin a great boost producing a wonderful glow to the skin along with refined pores – great before a special occasion. This can also be used as a maintenance treatment. A course of repeated treatments will produce stronger more noticeable results, a skin tightening effect and the reduction of very fine lines and imperfections such as acne scarring.
 
Glycolic Treatments
 
Particularly suitable for larger treatment areas e.g. the body or for patients who prefer a slower, more gradual treatment with minimal flaking. Glycolic treatments are available in a variety of strengths and recommended as a course of 4+ treatments. Prior preparation of the skin for 2 weeks prior to commencing a treatment course is necessary.
 
TCA Treatments
 
The strongest treatment which penetrates to a deeper level of the epidermis, producing the most spectacular results in the fastest time possible. For facial use, this treatment is administered once a week for 4 weeks (other areas of the body are treated over a slightly longer duration). Although your skin may well flake visibly for approximately 2-3 days during each week of treatment, this effect is not unmanageable and does not exclude work or social activities. Particularly recommended for older and pigmented skin.  Indicated for softening lines and wrinkles, tightening the skin, reducing blemishes, correction of pigment problems, reduction of acne scarring. A course of TCA treatments is equivalent to several laser skin rejuvenation sessions. (Please note this treatment is different from what you may have seen on “Ten Years Younger”. It does give the same results but as the treatment is spread over 4 sessions, it is far less traumatic so you don’t need to worry about it being too uncomfortable or not being able to go out in public).
 
Only Touch Treatment
 
This is a variation of the TCA treatment specially designed especially to reduce pigmentation marks on the hands and décolletage. A course of 4 treatments produces spectacular results particularly for “age spots”.
