About the Lapex BCS

We are pleased to be able to offer this treatment at our Essex clinics.  The Lapex BCS is a low level laser originally developed 10 years ago to treat sports injuries and to assist the body in healing itself. It was while patients were being treated in this way that the that the body contouring benefits of this particular type of laser were first discovered. FDA approved so its completely save, this technology has been thoroughly tested and has been proven to be safe and effective with no negative side-effects.

How it works

Unlike traditional liposuction, Laser Lipo uses paddles which work through the skin.  Paddles through which the laser beam is omitted are positioned on the area to be treated. Through these paddles, a laser beam penetrates the skin targeting adipocyte (fat) cells. You won't feel anything other than a very slightly warm sensation in the area being treated.

Activating these fat cells with this specially designed laser causes a chain of events to take place within them. Firstly, pores form on the cells causing their contents to spill out. The contents of these fat cells (glycerol and fatty acids) move into the interstitial space beneath the fatty layer in the skin. As a result, the adipocyte cells are therefore reduced in size. These effects do not affect the neighbouring structures such as the skin, blood vessels or nerves. Probe lasers directed to the body's lymphatic system then remove the fat through the venous system, where they are processed in the same way as fatty foods are digested.

Because of the way the laser lipo treatment works there is no recovery time required and so once the treatment is completed you can go about your normal daily routine.
